Where is Earth Day?
The Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival is held at Alameda Park, Santa Barbara.
Why drive to Earth Day? Come Car Free!
Alameda Park is easily reached on foot or by bike, bus, shuttle or train. Cars are a major source of smog pollution and greenhouse gases contributing to global climate change. Get in the spirit and enjoy car ‘free-dom’ on Earth Day.
Check out the Santa Barbara Metropolitan (MTD) bus and electric shuttle system. They’ll get you where you want to be! If you are coming from Ventura, you also have the option of taking the Coastal Express Bus.
At the festival, you’ll find FREE bike valet near the corner of Anacapa and Micheltorena Streets in Alameda Park, sponsored and run by SB Bike. Find a bike route using Traffic Solutions’ Bike Map App for your iPhone or Android phone, or use a PDF copy. Bike Valet is located in the bike zone where you can enjoy many bike activities and register with an Earth Day volunteer to win prizes for being car free.
The Festival is a short walk from many parts of Santa Barbara. Many neighborhoods like the Westside, Oak Park, or the Eastside are less than a 30 minute stroll. Lace up your walking shoes, enjoy the view, and get some exercise on the way.
